Silicon Image is seeking a person to join the China Software Development 
team located in Shanghai to execute a state-of-the-art development project 
in both wired and wireless field. Candidate must be familiar with embedded 
Software Development Process, Methodologies and tools with a proven track 
record of design, development and testing for an embedded software 
development project that led to a successful product. Proficiency in C/C++, 
Embedded OS, Embedded Software Development and HDMI/Video Development for 
Embedded Platform is required. A good understanding of whole ASIC ASIC/
Software design phase is a plus. Participate in all phases of software 
development process. Collaborate with Systems Engineering and ASIC 
development groups to define chip/system/Software design. Provide technical 
support to SW Testing and Application Engineering groups to deliver 
successful Software to customers.

Responsibility:
1. Develop software design specifications - Clean interfaces and APIs, 
portable 　and scalable code structures
2. Embedded Software prototyping and implementation for upcoming products
3. Support system validation and bring-up of new silicon, boards, software, 
and reference designs.
4. Support Testing and AE groups to provide technical expertise to help 
customers
5. Maintanence of legacy products

Required Skills
1. Excellent in C programming language
2. Background in embedded systems - Software/firmware development for 
embedded processors, Development on embedded Linux, Debug of complex real-
time systems, Multimedia FW for video and audio products
3. Comfortable with the hardware/software interface, low level control of 
hardware, silicon and FPGA systems, systems and silicon bring-up and debug
4. Strong skills in software engineering practice - design, bug free coding 
and documentation, revision control systems, build environment, release 
process, QA requirements, continuous code improvement, defect/issue tracking 
tools 
5. Knowledge of the HDMI/DVI, MHL, USB/HID, I2C, SPI, Ethernet and Wifi 
protocols. 
6. SW development experience with ARM, MIPS, ARC, XScale or similar embedded 
processor cores
7. Strong team player with excellent in communication skills and highly 
motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
8. Excellent in written English and fluent in oral English

1. Master degree in CSEE
