Representative tasks will include:

tasks.
Develop tools and test grammars for various applications.
Develop demos and products on various HW/SW platforms like android,

QNX devices.
Development and maintenance of relevant processes for the use in production

2：TTS Research Engineer
Reporting to TTS manager, the research engineer will conduct innovative
research and development with focus on TTS Front-end or Back-end
technologies.
Responsibilities:
As part of the TTS R&D organization, you will be contributing to the
development of text-to-speech technology for all types of markets and
platforms with focus on Asian languages.
Representative tasks will include:
Improve TTS front-end or back-end with algorithm innovations.
Develop product and tools,
Maintenance and support (PS / Bug fixes)
Active contribution to the improvement of all QA processes
Qualification:
Native Mandarin, Good English, additional Asia languages is a plus
Experience with TTS research and development

3：Chinese NLP/NLU Research Engineer (中文自然语言处理研究员)
Job:
Nuance is seeking a Research Engineer who possesses a solid
background in natural language processing technology. Candidates should
enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere that applies NLP/NLU
technologies in commercial, result driven, and customer oriented projects.
The candidate will join an experienced international team with
expertise in creating, optimizing and testing state-of-the-art VUI solutions
for Chinese. The position is located at our Shanghai office (PRC).
Key Responsibilities
As part of the worldwide R&D organization, you will be contributing
to the development of natural language processing and understanding (NLP/NLU)
technology for the Chinese language. Representative tasks will include:
Apply core Nuance NLP technology to Chinese use cases and adapt as
necessary to achieve advanced performance.
Develop new core algorithms and techniques to improve accuracy of
existing statistical NLU system.
Develop tools and test grammars for various applications
Leverage existing knowledge repositories and/or help to expand such
repositories in order to improve NLU performance.
Development and maintenance of relevant processes for the use in
production on key projects at Nuance.
Your Profile:
M.S. in computer science, computational linguistics, EE, math or
related field. Advanced degree or related experience required.
Statistical natural language processing.
Strong algorithmic and software skills.
Accomplished coder – can realize research ideas effectively.
Experience running accuracy experiments and systematically improving
performance.
Native speaker of Chinese.
Fluent English communication.
Preferred experiences include: Machine learning, data mining,
clustering, knowledge representation, ontology development, coding skills (
java, scripting) and keen interest in research.
