JOB SUMMARY: 
This position will provide regional technical support on fire protection 
engineering and design, operation and maintenance of fire protection systems 
and life safety. The primary responsibility is to ensure Intel's 
manufacturing and non-manufacturing facilities in Asia/ATM Operations comply 
with all fire safety code and standards. He/She will be a key member of 
internal working groups, partnering across Intel sites to set clear 
processes and procedures. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Ensure site due diligence to all applicable fire safety codes and 
regulations across CS Asia/ATM Operations. 
- Responsible for the technical interpretation of applicable building and 
fire standards/codes and recommend a consistent approach to fire safety 
compliance in the Asia region i.e. during design and construction, 
acquisition of lease space and mitigate potential unsafe conditions via 
ongoing inspection, maintenance and testing of our fire protection equipment'
s. 
- Provide technical direction to operations (architects, engineers, 
developers, contractors, building owners, and EHS professionals) on fire and 
building code compliance including fire suppression and fire detection 
systems. 
- Act as a technical resource for incident commanders by providing 
information concerning structural stability, hazardous materials, and fire 
protection components. 
- Assist in the execution of fire protection audits and risk management 
across the - Asia region to proactively meet property insurers' requirements.
 
- Coordination with designated local authorities having jurisdiction on fire 
protection issues/concerns and brings the issues to the appropriate level of 
analysis/action. 
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
- Bachelors or Masters' Degree (preferred) in Fire Safety Engineering, Fire 
Engineering or Fire Safety Management. 
- ~5-10 years' experience with fire hazard identification and classification,
knowledge of International Fire Code and Practices such as National Fire 
Protection Association (NFPA) would be a valuable attribute. 
- Experience in risk assessments performing analysis and calculations 
required to support fire protection system design solutions. 
- Knowledgeable on fire protection, fire management, life safety, fire 
suppression systems, emergency management, fire regulations and latest 
national standards across the Asia region. 
- Strong communication skills written and verbal, able to communicate 
strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees, customer 
service skills and proven leadership capabilities. 
- Excellent analytical and judgment skills; Ability to work both 
independently and as part of a team. 
- Time management skills with ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-
paced environment. 

REQUIREMENTS: 
- This position can be filled in Penang, Malaysia or Chengdu, PRC or Ho Chi 
Minh, Vietnam. 
- Successful candidate must be able to travel extensively across the Asia 
Region. 
- This is a senior Individual Contributor position, reporting directly to 
the Site EHS Manager and matrix reporting to the Regional EHS Manager. 
- Relocation is not offered for this position. 
- The candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills 
in English.
